At a judo tournament, I got caught with a arm bar and I did not tap. I was winning so I just did not want to give up and I was able to win but my elbow started hurting pretty bad afterwards. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and I was diagnosed with tennis elbow. I was referred to a physical therapist. I went to a physical therapist for about 5 months and the pain improved throughout therapy but it did not go away. Tennis elbow is quite a nasty injury. Every time I would lift weights it would get stiff and painful. It is an injury that does not away too easy. One thing that helped a lot was heat. I bought a sunbeam express heating pad and it alleviated the pain instantly. Make sure to buy a heat pad that you can spray water on. The water helps with getting the heat deeper in the tissues. If you apply heat to an injury, you do this at least 48 hours after an injury. The main reason why tennis elbow does improve easily and takes lot of time is is due to the limited circulation in tendons. The reason why heat helps is because heat causes vessels to dilate (open) and this brings more blood in to the tissue which will aid in the healing. I hope tip helps you..
