I used to think infused water was something for the pampered house wives when they go to the spa.. While I was watching a video of Dmitry Klokov talking about his sauna routine for recovery I noticed he had a water pitcher full with some strawberries, pomegranates, mint, etc. in his hand. I did not realize this was a powerful way to hydrate. I started implementing this and I gained many of the health benefits of infused water.
Infused water can be made with fruits, vegetables and even herbs. It can also be a very powerful tool to detox the body.
Sometimes I get bored drinking so much water and I try drinking black tea and with this I usually end up getting dehydrated. Infused water is a great calorie free alternative that aided with my hydration. This became a daily habit and I got my family and friends using this approach as well. For athletes, there are not too many beverages that can be drank guilt free and this happens to be one of them that is not as mundane.

Some of my favorite ingredients for infused water are : mint, apples, strawberries, mangos, ginger and cinnamon.
